Formation Groups

Rooted in the Bible’s rich vision for life together, this is the purpose of our Formation Groups:

We gather together to experience Christ Jesus present among us—ministering to us and through us by His Spirit—so that our lives and our community are genuinely transformed.

The advantages of this purpose statement:

Keeps what we most need, Jesus, at the center of things: Formation Groups are not about getting more information about the Bible but experiencing the life-giving presence of God.

Calls for active participation: We are expected to speak to and care for one another trusting that Christ is at work through our words and actions.

Allows for Formation Groups to be evangelistic: This purpose is compelling and attractive to both the Christian and non-Christian.”
