Update: June 30, 2020
Hello Mosaic!
We are delighted to welcome you back to church on July 19! In order to do this safely and lovingly, we are inviting the congregation back to church in careful but faith-filled phases. Please carefully read through our Safety Plan and prayerfully join us in our walk back to Jerusalem to worship together.
We know not everyone will be able to join us in person. Our Worship Services will continue to be streamed online. Thank you to our A/V team who go the extra mile to make this possible every week! We continue to brainstorm ways for us to be united in heart and spirit despite the physical barriers that continue to exist. I encourage you to join us on our pre-service prayer meetings over Zoom on Sunday Mornings or get connected through a Small Group.
May God give us a vision for what He desires from us. He had much more planned for us than we had ever expected from ourselves during these trying months. I have been blessed to see and hear new testimonies of love formed out of our hardships as a church. Let’s pray that our church will continue to be united in heart. I can't express how excited I am to see all of you again and how much I long to worship together as a congregation.
Blessings,
Pastor Dave Park
How do I know if I should return to worship in person?
Deciding whether to return to worship in person is a decision that should be taken thoughtfully and prayerfully by every individual while considering your own health and those you live with. As believers, we should be making decisions based not in fear but in faith and love. Please equip yourself with fact based knowledge of how this virus spreads and how to prevent it. Please read through the Safety Plan to understand what Mosaic will do to mitigate these risks.
In the coming weeks, look out for the following which will help you make your decision:
Posts and videos of what the process looks like on our social media accounts
A congregation meeting over Zoom on July 12 after service
At this time, all in-person Sunday Worship services will be capped at 50 people sitting 6 feet from one another in the Mosaic Sanctuary. Only adults 18 years or older will be allowed to register and join us.
We will continue to be ready to change and pivot directions if conditions in the community worsen. Any changes will be communicated to you through these emails. In the meantime, you are welcome to email the Mosaic Re-Opening Taskforce with any questions, concerns or suggestions.
What should I do to prepare to return to worship in person?
This is what you can do to get ready!
Read the Mosaic Safety Plan
Have a mask ready (or email the Deacons if you do not have access to one)
Monitor your health. If you are feeling ill, stay home out of love
Create your profile on the Mosaic Church Center app if you haven't done so already!
Or if you don't have access to a smart phone, you can create your profile on a web browser.
I'm in! How do I register?
The rolling registration process for July will open this Friday:
Make your registration request for each Sunday you wish to attend in the Mosaic Church Center app under "Events"
Look out for an email from the Taskforce on the Thursday evening before that Sunday to complete your COVID-19 Questionnaire
The Taskforce will send you a confirmed reservation on that Friday evening
If reservations are all booked, we will give you first preference for the next Sunday you requested. We hope to see you soon!
Update: March 12, 2020
Hello Mosaic Family,
We are in a unique time for faith. Mosaic’s leadership has been monitoring the situation closely and will be sending you a letter very soon, but we want to call you to have greater faith now than ever before. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for. The conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Now is the time to have faith in a God who is sovereign despite what we see around us. God is in control.
In accord with the recent announcements from the New Jersey governor and local officials, Mosaic is moving services online starting this Sunday. We will not be meeting in person until further notice. Our service will be streamed live through Mosaic’s Facebook page. Please find the Mosaic Christian Fellowship Facebook page and join us at 11:35 AM for our online service. We will only have one service at 11:35 AM.
All meetings have been cancelled and small groups are advised to find creative ways to meet and fellowship via video calls. Mosaic also has a conference line if you would like to use it for your ministry team meetings.
We are reminded of the Jews who were taken to Babylon. All their temples and normal forms of worship were taken from them and yet they were called to be faithful and passionate worshipers in a foreign situation. In spite of all the fear and anxiety around us, the lord has something for us to learn about faith in this time. Let us seek his face when it is difficult to do so.
Signed,
Mosaic Leadership Team
